Trailblazing Singapore students win major prize in Paris

SINGAPORE ~ A team of students from Singapore has won a major international prize for developing a computer software that makes for a cleaner environment.
Calling themselves the Trailblazers, the students developed a program called Environmental Monitoring System (EMS) and entered it in the Imagine Cup Embedded Development competition.

Thai environmentalist wins Ramsar award

ONE of Thailand’s best-known and most highly-respected environmentalists has been named as a winner in the 2008 awards of one of the most prestigious environmental organisations in the world, the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands (RCW).
