RECOFTC Asia Pacific
THE Regional Community Forestry Training Centre for Asia Pacific (RECOFTC) is an international not-for-profit organization based in Bangkok, Thailand. It works closely with partners to design and facilitate learning processes and systems to support community forestry and community-based natural-resource management.
Background
RECOFTC was established in 1987 in response to a need for a regional institution focused on community forestry training, research, and information exchange.
Strategy
Through strategic partnerships and collaboration, RECOFTC aims to enhance capacity at all levels and to promote constructive multi-stakeholder dialogues and interactions to ensure equitable and sustainable management of forest and natural resources. RECOFTC’s main geographical focus is in the Asia-Pacific region, but it welcomes collaboration with organizations from other regions.

Three interlinked programs working at the international, regional, national, and local levels contribute to RECOFTC’s mission, with the backing of an organizational support program:

- Country Program Support
- Program Planning and Delivery
